This Friday we take a look at the five best logos of ever (that I can think of). Why do you care about logos? I don’t know, but you’re already here so you might as well take a look.
The Five Best Logos:
5) — RVCA
This clothing company bill themselves as “The balance of opposites” and their simple, understated logo is just that. If I were the shallow sort of guy who made decisions 100% based on how something looks, I would probably wear their clothes (spoiler alert: I wear their clothes).
4) — Puma
The least symmetrical logo on the list, Puma captures all the best, most desirable characteristics of their namesake animal and boils it down to just that with its subtle, smooth logo. I like their font choice for the name too. …Ahh yes, nothing screams “adulthood” quite like having an opinion on font style. I need to get out more.
3) — BMW
Cool, calm, circular; BMW and its logo evokes a classic style and a quality craftsmanship that endures past some of its flashy competitors. Honorable mention to Mercedes Benz and Volkswagen, both of whom employ similar styles with their logos (what is it with car companies using circular logos? It’s like they have wheels on the brain or something).
2) — Apple Inc.
The original counterculture logo, Apple founder Steve Jobs wanted something to represent his computers that had more life and freshness to it than his bland competitors’s designs (a distinction that continues to set Apple’s products apart from the herd almost half a century later). Even though Apple has ditched the rainbow colors for some more modern-looking textures and grays, they kept the essential elements of the original.
1) — Pepsi
The granddaddy of them all, PepsiCo.’s logo for their flagship product is fun, easy on the eyes, and even has some good ol’ fashioned red, white, and blue just in case you forgot that America is the greatest country in the universe. Now that’s a damn logo.
Ok, so there you have it. Ten minutes of your life you’ll never get back. You’re welcome.
Play on,
Dustin
