The Friday Five: Five Best Logos EVER

This Friday we take a look at the five best logos of ever (that I can think of). Why do you care about logos? I don’t know, but you’re already here so you might as well take a look.

The Five Best Logos:

5) — RVCA
This clothing company bill themselves as “The balance of opposites” and their simple, understated logo is just that. If I were the shallow sort of guy who made decisions 100% based on how something looks, I would probably wear their clothes (spoiler alert: I wear their clothes).

4) — Puma
The least symmetrical logo on the list, Puma captures all the best, most desirable characteristics of their namesake animal and boils it down to just that with its subtle, smooth logo. I like their font choice for the name too. …Ahh yes, nothing screams “adulthood” quite like having an opinion on font style. I need to get out more.

A videogame (FIFA Soccer 2012 (PS3))

An increasingly-rabid fan of the FIFA Soccer videogames (and soccer in general) since the early 2000’s, I can hands-down say this one is the best of the series to date. All the usual graphical improvements, but with a host of additional refinements that will really please people who love sports as much as they love pretending to play sports.

 

30 in 30, Day 19: Celebrity Crush Power-Rankings and Why It’s Not Sexist

As we enter the time of year where friends are drawn near, loved ones are cherished, and family is still taken for granted, just slightly less so, I felt it would be a good time to mix in some good, ol’ fashioned chauvinism and rank my top celebrity  objects  crushes.  Disclaimer: these rankings are totally subjective to me and my personal preferences, and are in no way a reflection of my value of women or relationships as a whole. Considerations include, but are not limited to: attractiveness (both physical attractiveness and whatever sort of mental/personality/emotional attractiveness I assign them based on tv/radio/print or fabricated interviews), career sustainability, drug use (or in particular, the lack thereof), chances that said crush would sleep with me, potential parenting skills, hotness (different from attractiveness), industry cred, proximity in age (sort of), chances that said crush wouldn’t sleep with me, predicted fidelity, and likelihood she won’t randomly go batshit crazy at some point (at least relative to most women, since there’s no such thing as women who don’t have at least some chance of randomly going batshit crazy at some point).

30 in 30, Day 13: Ten Twitter Tips for Tons of Followers

A famous Tears for Fears song states that “everybody wants to rule the world,” and while I find that difficult to believe of, say, Carrot Top, it certainly seems like a person’s outreach is at a higher premium than in any age prior. That brings me to twitter.
